Let's go the king of Champaign is returning back to Chicago. The Bulls got the steal of the draft. No one I mean no one thought Ayo would be there at 38. Shit, I was 100 percent certain that he was going to be a first-rounder. The Bulls had a second-round pick but, they drafted a first-round caliber player. There is no way there are 37 better players than Ayo. He is going to prove that, as he is going to show why he should have been a first-rounder. I would love to have every gm explain to me what is wrong with Ayo. I would counterpoint every argument they have because Ayo is a dog, he showed that all year. He averaged 20 points 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Ayo had multiple triple-doubles in college, which is so hard to do. Each year at Illinois Ayo Improved. It is just so mind-boggling that he fell.
Let's look at the positives of being a second-rounder. One, you can get paid faster. Two if anyone is going to bounce back from this disrespect, it's Ayo. One day his face will be on the Jordan meme saying " And I took that personally."
It is awesome that Ayo is with his hometown team. He and D-rose are the only two players to be drafted by their hometown team, which is pretty cool. Every kid has that dream to play for their favorite team so it is bittersweet that the Bulls got him. His parents went to every game home or away and now he is right down the street for at least 41 of those games.
I fully expect Ayo to compete for that starting point guard spot. Coby White has not been all that great he has been very inconsistent. The Bulls were always rumored to add a point guard via free agency or trade. They don't have to do that anymore because now they have Ayo. I can't wait to see what he can do in the NBA.
