We heard the same thing all season once Tom Brady left New England for Tampa. Can Tom Brady win without Bill Belichick? Brady did win another Super Bowl without Bill. Then the argument flipped. Instead of Brady can't win without Belichick, it went Belichick can't win without Brady.
I guess Belichick heard all the shit that was being said about him all last season. This year he is out for revenge and, he is making moves.
The Patriots are doing something they never do. They are singing free agents. So far as today March 16, they have spent 273 million dollars in the cap. They have signed or traded for eight different players this offseason. Six of them got signed yesterday and that is when free agency started.
The Patriots have always had a good tight end besides last season. They fixed that issue real fast. They signed two of the better tight ends in the NFL. What are they trying to recreate Gronk and Aaron Hernandez 2.0 the less fun version?
I am like everyone else who is not a Patriots fan. It was fun seeing them be bad. They have won 6 Super Bowls in 20 years. No one likes to see a consistent winner.
I do not think they will be as bad as they were last year. The Patriots had a lot of their top defensive players opt out because of covid. Now they have signed a lot of players. I am not saying they are going to win the AFC East again because the Bills are good as fuck. I am not saying the dynasty is back on. The Patriots will be better than they were last year.
The Patriots do play The Bucs this year. The last thing Bill Belichick wants to do is lose to Tom Brady.
