Blue Jays lose another winnable game

I hate the National League rules so much. The DH needs to be in both leagues and that is one of the reasons why the Blue Jays lost today's game vs the Mets.

Ross Stripling had a good game, went 5 innings, and had 1 earned run. The Blue Jays are batting and had runners on first and second and the pitcher spot was on deck so they put in Cavan Biggio to pinch-hit for him. The batter in front of him gets out. So really Ross could’ve gone another inning but since there is no DH in the National league the Blue Jays already decided to pull him. That’s when all hell broke loose and the very next inning the Achilles heel of the Blue Jays the bull pin gave up a 3-1 lead. Pete Alonso made Ryan Borucki look like a little leaguer hitting 2 bombs off him in the series. At the end of the sixth the score was 5-3.

Then the Jays did what they do best which is score runs. They were able to cut it to a 5-4 lead with bases loaded and 1 out. Alejandro Kirk is up and on the first pitch he sees he pops it up to the 2nd basemen. Then Cavan Biggio flys out to left. The Blue Jays should’ve taken the lead. The Mets were begging them to but couldn’t find a way to put the tying run across.

It’s another bullpen loss for the Jays. I almost expect the bullpen to collapse in close games each time. If their last name isn’t Romano, Cimber or Mayza I have a hard time trusting them Delivering for us.

The highlight of the game was meeting Mr. and Mrs. Met.

The Blue Jays are now 4.5 games out of the 2nd wildcard spot and have a big 4 games series against the Red Sox’s.
