So we all know that TyTy Washington had Illinois in his top three when he was making his college decision. It even looks like he had them in his top two. TyTy, probably went to Kentucky because he knew he could not beat out Andre Curbelo for the starting point guard job. In the video, he also said we only have Kofi and Kofi was almost one of us. That is not true at all either. Yeah because the person who recruited him left for Kentucky, and a new NIL deal came out that no one has ever seen before. Kofi looked at his options and came back to Illinois. Them saying they don't know anyone at Illinois is dumb.
They also questioned if Illinois will even make the tournament again. They should focus on their school that only had nine wins and did not make the tournament in a weak conference. Not a school who played in and won the toughest conference, that was the number one seed, who only lost three key players. One of those players being Adam Miller, who is easily replaceable. I would love to play Kentucky in the tournament and kick their ass. That would be amazing. All these kids think they're the next best thing and, a school is going to have to humble their ass in a game. I would love it if that would be Illinois.
Now I am glad we did not get TyTy. We don't need that bad attention. Illinois lets their work do the talking. Seeing him get upset about us means Illinois has some real-estate in that big head. I would rather have Curbelo, a hard worker who is going to be at Illinois for a while and take pride in his University, rather than TyTy who will only be at school for one year and not give a shit about Kentucky.
I cannot wait for Illinois basketball to return. It looks like Illinois is going to have some doubters again. I'm ready for them to prove everyone wrong.
