That's a winner! Marcus Semien with the walk-off to give the Blue Jays the 1-0 win on the first pitch he sees! There is no doubt in my mind that he has been the best signing in the off-season of all MLB. The Jays have won 9 out of the last 10. They're only two games out of the second wild-card spot and three games out of the first wild card spot. I'm not even counting out winning the division. The Jays are only six games behind the Rays and, we have an easy schedule coming up. By the way, this hot streak is coming when Vladdy is in a slump. One of the best players in all of baseball is struggling and, we're still pumping out wins like it is nothing. Just imagine when he gets going again watch out. This team is one of the best in baseball and, it's finally showing. I've said this before I'll say it again, the stars are alleging, getting Jose Berrios at the trade deadline, and coming home to Toronto gave us the push over the hump we needed.
I really do not see this happening in Buffalo. The game I went to in Buffalo when the Red Sox's were in town there were more Red Sox fans than Blue Jays fans. That has to be draining for the players and now they are finally getting cheered at home rather than booed. Now that they’re finally home they have support behind them when they need it most
This series is the biggest series of the season for the Blue Jays and, they have not disappointed at all. Last night they had a 9 run fifth inning and they got into the head of the Red Sox's relief pitcher. Then in today's game, the offense is struggling only having 2 total hits, they still find a way to win.
This team is so fun to watch and now, they're showing they are having fun. A lot of MLB teams have home run celebrations in the dugout, once the Blue Jays returned to Toronto, they introduced the home run jacket. If a player hits a home run they get to wear the jacket in the dugout. The jacket has the countries of all the players on it. This might be my dumb brain but, I feel like once the team introduced this we have just gotten better because of the jacket. Obviously, that's not true but, It just shows that the team is loose and is having fun, and the results are showing on the field.
This team is reminding me of the 2015 team each day. Both had a sub-par record at the all-star break, trading for an elite starting pitcher. At first, I thought no way this team compares to the 2015 team. That team was a juggernaut, but the 2021 Blue Jays are something special. I am all in on them making a run into the playoffs. This is just the begging of them and they are putting the world on notice.
