I Have High Expectations for The Toronto Bluejays

This is the first season since 2016 where I have had expectations for the Bluejays. They have quality pitching they went out and got two superstars in Marcus Semien and George Springer. They have the young core with Bo Bichette, Vladimir Guerrero Jr and, Cavan Biggio. To be a good baseball team you have to win the games that you are supposed to win and that is what I expect from this team.

When the Bluejays are healthy, their offense can be one of the best in baseball. I truly believe the Bluejays have one of the most dangerous lineups. What is going to make or break this team is pitching all around. If The Bluejays can get quality pitching day in and day out they will be hard to beat.

With that said, last night on April 10, the Jays got a must-needed win and they did it with ease. The team put up 15 runs. Guerrero Jr and Bichette drove in 8 of the 15 runs. Combined, Bo and Vladdy went 4-8 and had two walks. It was fun to see the whole team rake off whoever came in to pitch against them.

This win was massive because the Bluejays have dropped four in a row before their win against the Angeles. They lost the series to a bad Rangers team and then blew a game they should have won in the first game against the Angeles.

Even though it is the very beginning of the season, I was starting to get worried. It's not like I did not have faith in them. I just wanted them to start the year with a good record. With the Bluejays in the American League East, winning games you are expected to win is important. The A.L. East is a very hard division with the Yankees in it, the Rays, and then let's not forgot about the Red Soxs.

I expect the Bluejays to make the playoffs this year. If they do not make the playoffs this year, it was a wasted year. They have the potential to go far this year. I can't wait to watch the Bluejays play meaningful baseball.
