LET'S GO THE KING IS BACK! You really thought Brad was going to let Kofi leave? Hell no. The whole NCAA better watch out because we have the best team in the country and the deepest team in the country. Illinois is coming for the Big 10 championship again. Kofi is going to bring a national championship to Champaign.
Kofi has the chance to be the Big 10 player of the year, first-team All-American, the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar award which is given to the best center in college basketball. He will be in a great position to dominate with Belo, the best passing point guard in college feeding him the rock. I expect big things from Kofi, especially now that there Is no Ayo, Kofi will be leaned on more and, he will not disappoint us at all.
If Kofi does what he is supposed to do, there is no doubt in my mind that he will get drafted next year. When going through the NBA draft process, general managers probably told him what he needs to work on. I saw videos of him making free throws consistently and some mid-range jumpers. If Kofi is doing that, the rest is college basketball is screwed. There is no stopping the big man in the paint anyways and now he might burn you with a jumper. I'm getting hyped up just thinking about it.
I think I can speak for every Illinois fan that this was a very stressful time and it was not fun at all. We got our guy back and it's water under the bridge for me. He is still wearing the orange and blue, that is all that matters.
This season is going to be fun. I can't wait to watch Kofi dominate again and watch Illinois make another run.
