Phil Maton Was The Best Pitcher For The Astros During The World Series

Maton appeared in game 1, game 2, game 4, game 5, and game 6. Maton did not give up a run in the World Series. He has arguably been the best pitcher for the Astros in the World Series. Joe Buck and John Smoltz, have been raving about how good Maton has been for the Astros in the World Series. Even pitching ninja is noticing how disgusting Maton has been.

The bright lights did not phase Maton in the playoffs. Maton only gave up one run during the entire postseason run with the Astros. Whenever the Astros needed an out he was the guy to put out the fire. Some fans even question why he did not come in earlier during game 6 of the World Series.

This could be the coming-out party for Maton, as he has been traded two times in the past three years. Hopefully, he has a home in Houston for years to come. I am glad Phil did well. It sucks that he could not win the World Series, but seeing a kid from Chatham in the World Series do well was awesome.
