Jesus Christ, Stephen A. What the heck are these ridiculous takes. Both of these comments he said makes me lose brain cells. I think I lose brain cells just listening to him every day. Stephen A. is one of the most annoying people on tv and, it is because of shit like this that makes him so annoying.
I will start with his Donovan Mitchell quote. First of all, I am not a Donovan Mitchell hater at all but, there is no way in hell is he the greatest Jazz player in their organization. Mitchell has not done anything to prove that. Sure he is an amazing scorer definitely one of the best in the NBA but, what has he done for the Jazz. He and his team has blown the last two playoff series. There Is no way he is already better than the 10xAll-star, member of the dream team, the all-time leaders in assists, and the all-time leader in steals. Mitchell is not already better than John Stockton. Mitchell is not better than the 2xMVP, member of the dream team, 14xAll-star, and oh yah the 2nd leading scorer in NBA history Karl Malone. Mitchell is losing to teams who lose in the western conference finals, Malone and Stockton lost to Michale fucking Jordan twice.
Then Stephen A. said that Devin Booker is the next Kobe Bryant. The balls on him to say that. Sure Booker trained with Bryant is a lethal scorer and plays the same style as Bryant but he is not the next Kobe Bryant. Why can't Devin Booker be Devin Booker first of all? Booker is 24, when Kobe was 24 he was a three-time champion, averaged 30-7-6. Bryant averaged 32 in the playoffs and at one point had 9 straight 40 point games and 11 straight 35 point games. This was in a very good defensive era too. Devin Booker is a stud but let's pump the brakes on that. Booker is just now making his first playoff appearance at 24. Booker is averaging 26-5-5 in this year's playoffs which, is still really good, but not as good as Kobe. I like Devin Booker a lot too, and he is not even the best player in the NBA under 25. He is not the next Kobe Bryant at all.
Stephen A. Smith likes to say terrible takes and will try to win an argument by talking louder. This is the same guy who said Ben Simmons is the next LeBron and, we saw what Ben Simmons just did in the playoffs. His comparisons don't always pan out. I think Stephen A. needs to stay off the weeeeed.
