The man cannot be stopped this season. Every time someone ties Vladdy for the league leader in home runs Vladdy does this. He absolutely crushed this ball 438 feet. It went to the moon! I think everyone who watches baseball has become accustomed to Vladdy's 400 plus home runs. Every at-bat is electric for him and whenever the Jays need him most he seems to always deliver. Vladdy is hunting the triple crown and I know he is going to win it. Sign him to a 314 million dollar extension now.
It is a damn shame though, that he is not doing the homerun derby. He would mash those balls to the mountains with the home run derby being in Colorado. When he was in the derby in 2019 it was absolutely electric. He has only gotten better and stronger since then. He is sitting out for rest. As a Blue Jays fan, I respect the decision and, hopefully, he can lead our team to the playoffs.
Vladdy is going to lead the league in home runs this year. I would not be surprised if he cracks 50 this year. With the pitchers not being allowed to use anything to grip the ball, all the advantages go to the hitter. I can't wait for the show he puts on during the rest of the season.
