Waking Up to A 1 Seed

The University of Illinois is a one seed in the NCAA tournament for the first time since the legendary 2005 team. To see how far this program has come since Brad Underwood took over in 2017 is unbelievable.

If you consider yourself an Illinois fan and you do not have Illinois winning it all, I think you need to reconsider your fandom to Illinois. This team is an absolute wagon. Even though our region is tough, the Big10 has battle-tested us all year and, I truly believe we are going to win the whole thing.

Illinois also proves that they were the real Big 10 champs. There has been controversy leading up to the Big 10 tournament between Illinois and Michigan. Michigan had covid issues and could not play all their games. Michigan had a better winning percentage than Illinois. Illinois played all their games only had 4 losses but, they had the most wins in the Big 10. There was drama going on. I wanted to play Michigan in the Big 10 title game but, they could not even make it there.

In the Big 10 championship, Illinois started great but, Ohio State got back into the game and, it was a battle the rest of the game. I honestly think we did not even play our best game which to me is a good thing. Illinois best game with everyone on the court has yet to come.

The job is not done yet. This team still has one more goal out there.

Illinois basketball is back to where it should be. Illinois should not go down the dark path they were on before Brad got here. Let's go win the National championship.
